Mermaiding Program Overview
Activate your inner mermaid & make your mermaiding dreams come true. An introduction to the creative fantasy world of mermaids & mermen.
This is your chance to embrace your magical mermaid persona, get creative, grow a tail & learn some playful mermaid tricks in the pool. You will have the opportunity to choreograph a mermaid routine, create joyful underwater content & capture these priceless moments for you to remember forever. All beginner and advanced freedivers are welcome to join this fun, playful workshop where laughter and playfulness is priority.
Colorful mermaid tails and mermaid monofins are provided, you are welcome to bring mermaid accessories & costumes. There will be a fun photoshoot above & below the water and you will receive at least 3 edited photos along with your masterclass certification.
You instructor Dom, a well seasoned freediving instructor and professional mermaid, together with Gonzalo are bringing to the Gold Coast and Brisbane this unforgettable experience, a journey into the depths of your imagination and the beauty of the underwater.
All skill levels are welcome to share in the laughter and creativity of this unique mermaid experience.
What you will need to bring:
- Mask
- Swimmers
- Towel and sunscreen

No weights will be allowed during this experience.
Gear you can expect:
- Mermaid monofin
- Mermaid material tail
- Mermaid bra
- Mermaid crown
Please be informed that his is not a certification course, it involves 1 hour of dry activities and 2 hours of pool activity. However a mermaid certification could be provided if requested prior the activity, this would have an extra charge of $50.
WHAT TO EXPECT

3 Hours Duration
Before getting in the pool:
- Introduction of what it means to become a ‘mermaid’.
- Mermaid Yoga & Poses
- Breathing & Relaxation Skills for mermaiding.
- Breath Hold Physiology
- Nervous system regulation
- Mindfulness Techniques:
- Mermaid/Merman Persona: what is your character or story you will tell in a tail.
- Grow a tail: How to safely put the tail on and off.
In the dive pool (5m depth):
- Mermaid Kick: Learn the graceful & elegant movements of a mermaid in the water.
- Mermaid Tricks: How to blow a bubble ring, bubble heart & mermaid kisses.
- Mermaid Poses: Above water ‘Scorpion’ pose, under water ‘Mermaid Dream’ pose.
- Photoshoot: Above & below water.
Prerequisites
To join this experience you must:
- Be 16 years old or older
- Be able to swim comfortably
- Have no medical conditions related to this activity. This is based on the following medical form can be downloaded from the following LINK, as per this document a doctor’s clearance will be required.
No prior experience with snorkeling or freediving is required.
This experience is not a Freediving Certification. If you wish to become a certified freediver then our Level 1 Freediving Course is for you.
